No ingame music

Hi!
About a week ago, I started the game as usual, but when I clicked on 'continue', the music disappeared (before clicking 'yes'). Neither when the game is loading, nor ingame appears any background-music. This really makes me sad because the soundtrack really adds to the atmosphere.
Before this happened, I had another issue, where the battle-music won't stop playing, but this disappeared after restarting the game. Then everything was fine for a few days, and now this -.-
I updated DirectX, reinstalled Skyrim, then tried reinstalling Steam, but nothing worked. All patches are installed.

In the SkyrimPrefs.ini, it looks like this (if this helps):

[AudioMenu]
fAudioMasterVolume=1.0000
fVal7=1.0000
uID7=0
fVal6=1.0000
uID6=0
fVal5=1.0000
uID5=0
fVal4=1.0000
uID4=0
fVal3=1.0000
uID3=94881
fVal2=0.4000
uID2=466532
fVal1=1.0000
uID1=554685
fVal0=0.8000
uID0=1007612

I have absolutely no idea, what the reason could be, and all the other sounds function properly. I couldn't find anything here and in other forums, so somebody please help me!

have you tried deleting Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini and regenerating them through the launcher?

Tried re-installing your sound driver? Does the music work in other games?

I found the problem, and it had nothing to do with drivers or the like. One of my speakers is broken and for some reason, Skyrim changes my sound-settings, when clicking on 'continue' in the main menu to 5.1, which I disabled because of the broken speaker. In other games, the issue didn't appear, so I didn't figure out, that it had something to do with the speakers (and also because the music worked in the main menu until clicking something).
Thanks for your help anyway!
