Lightarmor viable for a warrior?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 4:50 am

I'm planning a 2H warrior, and very much prefer the 'barbarian' look of some of the lighter armors. My question is, would a 2H warrior with perked out light armor be a viable option at high levels, or if I charge in w//o heavy armor will I get destroyed? TIA!

Yes and know, you're sacrificing more protection for stamina regen.

"Perked out" at high levels, especially with smithing improvements, it's quite effective. Everything up to that point, though, without a shield and in constant close quarters combat, is rough going.

It's completely viable actually. Just take advantage of the perks and make smithing and enchanting a part of your gameplan.

With scaled armor you can hit the armor cap of 567. So it'll be every bit as viable when compared to heavy armor of any kind.

Yeah, its viable, and stamina lasts forever when running.

My warrior uses light armor, and I'm doing rather well (playing on adept or whatever the standard one is). But I don't fight with a 2h either, I dual wield swords. My whole style is based on avoiding getting hit by constant movement, stepping back, etc. Helps to have a bow too, and I take advantage of sneaking when I can. Mages, just rush in and take them out, it svcks fighting them from a distance. But I would think a 2h would work well too. It has more reach anyway. Biggest problem is since it's so slow, it's going to be harder for you to sidestep or backstep to avoid taking damage. Try it and find out I guess.
