Returning

Well, I'm not going to stick with it this time hoping for it to be fixed. I just loaded the game up four times having it freeze almost 30 seconds after starting. I'm going to return my copy to Gamestop for store credit and I'm preordering Fable 3 for my Xbox 360. I'm tired of Bethesda. Morrowind worked with a few glitches. Oblivion had a few freezes every now and again. Not enough to warrant a return. Fallout three had a lot more freezes, but still pretty playable. Fallout GOTY had an insane amount of freezing, to the point it became unplayable. FONV has something beyond insanity in freezing and the same approach seems to be taken to this game. Not a peep from Bethesda/Obsidian. I'm not getting drawn into this again.

Every game this company makes in the way of oldies seems to get worse and worse. Like I said, Morrowind was great. I only froze once and that was because my Xbox overheated. Oblivion for both systems froze up a lot more often.

Fallout has had it much more rough. Fallout froze quite a bit, but I was able to play without it becoming super annoying for me for both systems. Fallout GOTY came out on the PS3 and the damn thing froze up a lot. FONV comes out and it's slightly worse than GOTY was for me. Only difference is that lag was much more prominent in GOTY for me, but it didn't always freeze. With FONV, as soon as a spot of lag starts, I know it's going to freeze.

See, each game gets worse and worse. I for one am no longer going to support these games anymore. Maybe Elder Scrolls games after watching the forums for a few weeks, but never getting another Fallout title again. This is crap. Bethesda used to do awesomely. They started these two franchised out very well. Elder Scrolls hasn;'t gotten to awful bad so far, except with expansions. However, Fallout games just get worse and worse. Sorry Bethesda Obsidian, I'm not buying into your retro updated games anymore. I'd rather not get burned again.
