No pre-order bonus card from Amazon order

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:38 am

I can play without it but that's not why I paid extra for the pre-order. I've searched the case and found no trace of any card code. Is there some way this can be rectified? Thanks in advance.

That would not make sense seeing that the code is included inside the game case(where mine is missing from). I truly doubt that anyone I could contact from Amazon would have a clue. I was just hoping that perhaps there is some system for people who pre-ordered and recieved no bonus. I can prove my pre-order with reciepts and such. Since it's just a code I suspect this can be easily fixed with a single email.

Well, as you suggested I have sent Amazon Customer Service an email. I'll pester you later if that proves fruitless.

You can also contact our customer service department. Contacts details are on the back page of the manual.

Thank you, that might be helpful since I doubt Amazon will have a solution. Can you use the code on an existing character? If not then I guess it will have to wait for character#2...

Really though, all the junk included in the packs are avaliable in the game, right? Under different names and attributes, but nothing truly unique?

It should be inside the case with the instruction manual. If not same advice as what others are saying, contact amazon.

This is what Amazon sent me:

"Thank you for writing to us at Amazon.ca.

Upon reviewing this situation, I found that the Fallout New Vegas offer for the Tribal Raiding Armor and Broad Machete is a manufacturer in-box promotion.

Unfortunately, we are unable to obtain or post the access codes for in-box offers from manufacturers. If the item arrived without the information, please contact the manufacturer to obtain the necessary code and directions for redeeming the offer.

I hope that this information is helpful. Thanks for shopping at Amazon.ca.

Did we answer your question?"

Not correctly, you didn't. The correct answer is "Why yes, Madame, you are entitled to the product you paid for in full, complete as you expected it to be. Here is your code: *code*"

So.....is it just tough luck? It's not life ending but I feel it's such an easy thing to remedy, by emailing me a code for the pack I chose.

I would do as the Mod said previously. Use the contact info on the back of the book. I'm sure they will rectify your issue, as it isn't a coding fix. They just have to get proof of purchase and will send you a code. (I can only assume) Also, to answer your question about whether the dlc pack will be available to your already created character: I think so. When I finally got my classic pack to work I had already been playing for a while. Once I put in the code and it took, a prompt came up to inform that the dlc pack items had been added to my inventory.
