Player containers

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:31 am

I am building a home for the player and therefore have loads of containers, ammo boxes, cupboards, etc, etc. How do I know which ones to use so that anything the player puts in them will stay in them and won't respawn, reset or otherwise lose there contents after a period of time?

Thanks

Place empty ones only, and, make your cell "never reset", and, create an "Encounter Zone" just for your cell and have that encounter zone never reset or anything, and tell your cell to use that encounter zone.

That should cover about everything, if not too much.

It's a good idea to create new containers to place in a player's house.
Eventually, someone will write a mod that, say for instance, causes all vanilla containers to respawn (or certain select ones... ), or maybe modify the vanilla containers in some other way.

If your house mod isn't using any of the vanilla containers, you won't have a problem. However, if you place vanilla containers in your house, unexpected things may happen.

My wisdom comes from experience.
