Bonus Holotape? : Fallout: New Vegas

After I have beaten Dead Money and killed the Father, well now i have a strange item. Vending machines are great in the Abandoned BoS Bunker BUT instead of getting casino chips, sometimes from the wall safe i get some strange "Bonus Holotape" too with no values... what are they for? Anyone?

Correnct english item name is: complimentary voucher

Isn't it the 1000 casino chip voucher?
I get those in the lock box.
You can exchange them like cigarettes at the bottom of the available list and exchange it to 1000 casino chips.

I have the "complimentary voucher" but no option to return it for chips. What can I do to make that option appear? It looks like the item may be bugged for some users. Perhaps if you didn't win a voucher at the casino games it won't work for you in the bunker?

I never traded in the voucher, the chips were just avalable in the machine as soon as i checked.

What does the option say, just "Free chips"?

Did you win the voucher at the casino?

No i have just found 2 of them in the wall safe... and seems they are useless for now, no one know what they are for...

I didnt got the English version of the game so i have just roughly traslated it.

I kind of figured that, because Bonus Holotape sounds like a rough translation of "Complimentary Voucher".

But I hear from others that they can exchange these holotapes for 1000 chips at the vending machine, so perhaps our games are bugged?

It's maddening, I have 3000 chips just waiting for me and I can't redeem them.

When you access a vending machine with one of these, there should be an option for "1000 free chips", when you hit "x" on it you can choose the number you have then the chips are added to your inventory. I got one once I won around 7000 chips, then found two more in the lockbox when I got back from the DLC, all of them worked for me.

Maybe they don't work unless you've won something at the sierra madre? My character had pretty low luck so I didn't make much money there.

Do you have a non-US version or is my game just messed up? I have like 20 holotapes and can't redeem them... Damn

I've got the US version...you must have a bug of some sort, I'm afraid.
