Better story

Dont you all think that the story is better then fallout 3?I mean fallout new vegas has far more character info.In fallout 3 you escaped from a vault and looked for your father. In fallout new vegas you deliver a platinum chip which is revealed to be *SPOILER*A bunker key or something.Also...the dlc is amazing.Dead Money was creepy and had the best story ever. The whole divide thing was creepy.

Agreed i loved Fallout 3 but Fallout New Vegas just has that extra touch too the storyline nd dont even get me started on dead money, i loved that it acts as like a intro to somthing bigger in the future of the dlc's and the players back story on top of having a pretty decent storyline about greed while having awsome and creative characters, but back to the original question yea Fallout New Vegas has an amazing story IMO better than Fallout 3's

Ps. Thanks for someone finnaly writing something good about the dlc i mean come on its awsome, i guess only hardcoe fallout fans like myself and others only like it =)

Really?

I thought it was better than Failout 3's overall story, and all of it's DLC (Aside from possibly Anchorage, it had a decent story but [censored] that thing was railroaded like hell.)

the new vegas story overall i think is better than FO3's story but dead money story ? that i do not like, lets put it this way, i don't like dead money,, way too heavy on the puzzlesolving aspect, posion gas etc, not really any exploring etc, the pitt i think was the best fallout dlc so far out of all of em.

You might not have liked Dead Money, but that has nothing to do with how good the story was. Also, there was a ton of exploration you could do in that DLC. I still haven't found all of Dean's Secret Stashes after two playthroughs.

They're both the same rank of greatness IMO. FO3 shows what life would be like at the end/beginning of the Post Apocalyptic scale, wild & untamed with a couple of factions fighting for dominance & trying to bring order. FO:NV on the other hand shows what life is like if you move up the apocalyptic scale, Factions that have achieved order & stability, bringing some sense of world order to everyone under their influence, now looking to expand their borders. On the whole both stories are phenomenal, but it's natural for people to prefer one over the other when you consider what tastes each brings.

FO3 is 200 years after the Great War so it should not look like it just happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

FO3's story is "Go find Dad." Problems with FO3. One our characters age is set at 19. We know we are mom is dead and our dad is a nerd. Our background is pretty much set which svcks for character creation. The plot does not take into account of being a bad/evil person "what if we don't care about dear old dad." After all the guy took off without saying anything. Even if we do hunt the guy town to tell him off why would we care about fixing project purity? The story is ok if we play a good character (which is really the only type we can be).

New Vegas, our background is blank which is great. We survive being shot twice, which people can survive some crash things. So are motive is to find the man who shot us. Also not finding the chip can bring http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mojave_Express_Delivery_Order_(4_of_6) down on us from Mr.House. So once we find the chip we know have four outcomes we can pick from :fallout:
