Annoying enough with restarts having to watch the stupid monster-cam cutscenes....but now that I'm at the "cannery storage" area (fishermen chapter), the game won't load. Its after you get out of the stolen police garage car, you make your way past some fish-faces with tommy-guns, and get to a window (actually two windows) you break through. there's a save point, and you walk up to a locked door that initiates a monster-cam cutscene, that is un-skippable. As soon as it finishes and my character view returns, the game crashes. I've tried in high and low resolutions and with varying anti-aliasing settings, and resaving, plus chain hitting escape to menu adn inventory and reloadign to see if that works. I know that the monster-cam scenes can (sometimes?) be skipped if you are in agro/combat, but like an idiot (given the buggyness) i dont have any recent saves so thats no dice to try. tried downloading the c cheater patch as well, no luck.
windows xp service pack 3
intel quadcore q6600 running at 2.4ghz
4gb ddr3 ram (well 8, but from waht i understand xp only acknowledges 4)
nvidia geforce 8800gtx (for those not familiar, a POS card with tons of power but incompatable with practically EVERYTHING
haven't found online / this forum the particular problem i have so far.....anyone have a save slightly after this, or better yet, a patch that allows one to skip the damn monster-cam cutscenes?
