the game saving crash - detailed one

Post » Sun Feb 13, 2011 12:55 am

hey, iv'e been playing the game with minor crashes till today, during the helio-one quest, the game crashed and i ctrl+alt+del it and closed it manually.
since then i have the known saving game problem. every game i saved refuse to load. when it load the game crush, i get "instruction at "0x00711fa" the memory could not be read" message.
if there's any solution please let me know, i'm highly frustrated. should i reinstall the game? how can i do it with steam?

danny.

Go to the steam library, right click FNV, click properties, find the local files tab, and "Verify integrity of game cache", before you do anything else.

i solved it for now after reading people's comments on the problem, by not finishing the ghouls spaceship quest, works out so far. if it'll comeback i'll try that.
thank you!

Well if this is the same thing... on win 7 ultimate 64 bit... after prolonged play the saved games seem to get corrupted and you lose all progress. The saves crash the game automatically. The fix listed above doesn't help.

There needs to be a patch for this.
