This latest problem is a real stumper for me so I am hoping someone around here has seen this and can help. I am currently on the NCR quest line and I had just took care of the mob guys in the casino. After returning to talk to the major lady I was given the quest to confront the BoS. I decided to head back to my strip pad to change companions and once I did this my game lost all color and is now black and white. Opening the pip boy screen that still looks normal and my HUD is still green but everything else is black and white. So my question is has this happened to someone else before and if so is there a fix? I would just roll out an earlier save but like usual I hadn't saved for a long bit other than a quicksave and autosave which both are B & W.

I've had similar things happen to me before. I think it's a design feature. The color pallet seems to shift in certain areas, like specific NCR camps. It also takes on a faded, ruddy tone when near the Legion HQ.

So does it fix itself or will I be playing the rest of the game like this? It happened to me in Lucky 38's. I was going to fire up the game again once I exited but it was late and I was tired.

Lmao.. i thought that was because of drugs.. turns out its a bug XD
i was taking a lot of drugs to fight off big bad guy and all of a sudden screen went black and white... and i would get these bright flashes and a really wierd sound thats hard to describe.. it made it really hard to fight.. and i died..

try switching perspective (first person view to third person view) i've had that problem too
also there are some places like camp Forlorn hope that are in yellow and black my guess is it's in a dust storm if so good idea but needs some clues to the fact (blowing wind, clouds of dust, tumble weeds rolling by)
