I dont get it. Im stuck in the vault in the second series of catwalks. There are three speakers, two shielded. I shoot the third one. Jump across the catwalk and run in the corridor to my right. From every video I have watched the collar stops beeping. Mine doesnt, it blows up. What am I doing wrong?

it's been awhile since i've played DM, but i remember having a problem like that, and think it was a glitch. i decided to revert to the last save, and all was good. in fallout wiki, towards the bottom of the page, there's a list of all known glitches. i'm sure someone on here will correct me if i'm wrong.
