Nipton Non-Hostiles

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:53 am

I was just wondering if there were any consequences for attacking the Legion troops at Nipton? The leader (Vulces?) pretty much invites you to, but i was thinking whether i should let them leave.

I don't intend to ally with the Legion, so i'm not worried about lost quests to them at this point.

Also, any reason not to kill them crucified powder gangers? As an act of mercy of course.

I'm trying to do all the moral options, plus being as much a perfectionist as i can possibly be.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing happens if you kill any of them, other than karma loss for both of the associated factions.

The leader guy there won't be showing up later on in the game, though.

No overall effect on killing the guys on the cross. They're dying anyway. Just the merciful thing to do.

They all got a 10MM bullet to the head from em as I passed. I don't like the powder Gangers, and they were dying anyways.

The only real negative side effect of attacking the Legion at Nipton is you will tank your reputation with them enough that Legion Assassins will start showing up to attack you. While that doesn't sound like a big deal, realize these guys are nothing like the old Talon Company/Regulators from FO3, these guys are serious badasses who will take a huge amount of effort to kill - even on very easy difficulty they are tough fights.
