So, I went out and bought Fallout New Vegas for the Xbox 360 a few days ago and It has been a very promising game thus far. Just as good, if not better than Fallout 3, but Im encountering major problems that are preventing me from further playing the game.
First , Iv come across minor problems that doesnt affect the gameplay at all for me, such as creatures getting stuck in walls or rocks, items appearing out of nowhere, just little minor things. But now, Im getting corrupt save files over and over and over again which is becoming a problems. I got rid of the corrupt saves and continue from the auto save.
But now, the damn game doesnt work at all, WTF obsidian!!! Now, when I turn the game on, go to load game, I get a Disc read error and sends me back to the dash board. For some reason I am able to start a new game and play, but everytime I go to load, BAM Disc Read Error. I got this installed to the harddrive, no scratches or blemishes. Just a messed up game. Patch this quick please or refund my money.


Before you try to blame my xbox , It plays every game I have perfectly. Black Ops, Fable 3, Gears 2, everything no problems. It even plays New Vegas fine as a new game but only, and only when I choose to load the game I get a Disc Read Error and the game crashes.

lol...they are coming out with a patch to fix most of those problems.. i believe its right on the fallout main page... not sure but i know i read it somewhere

Ok Cool, Yea Im sure someone else is experiencing the same problems and posted this before. I just didnt bother with the search button, just countless times trying to enjoy this game made me feel compelled to just try to find quick answers.

There's not really anything you can do right now. You're options are to either wait for the patch, or just take the game back.

any idea when the patch may be coming out?? Hopefully before the DLC . Im was really enjoying this game and would love to jump back in it again.

Disk read error sounds like something different. All of the buge we have seen so far have just given an error about missing downloadable content. No disk error. That may be something else.

Try removing the game from your HDD and re-install. Not that it will matter as soon enough you will likely get the corrupt saves anyay.

That was the first thing I tried. re-installed perfect, so disc read error must be a software thing. After I re-installed , It will let you play a new game no problem, but as soon as I click "Load" the disc read error pops up. All of my other games play flawless, its just this game I get the error when I try to load.
