Imps Timescale Adjuster

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 6:40 pm

One quick question:

How to reverse things to what they were before using this mod? Simply unchecking it didn't work.

My hunger and thirst rates are completely messed up, can someone please lend a hand?

Thanks in advance.

BTW: I couldn't find the mod release thread, so I'm asking here.

That's actually a good question. The first thing you'd want to do is set your timescale back to 30 before uninstalling the mod. What I'm unsure of is whether the changes made to the hardcoe rates will be reversed when you uninstall ITA. Since they seem to take effect when you install, I would think they'd go back to the default when you uninstall. If not, you might need to use the console command setgamesetting to restore the hardcoe related gamesettings to their default values, in other words you'd need to enter the console and type:

setgamesetting fhcdehydrationrate 10
setgamesetting fhcstarvationrate 25
setgamesetting fhcsleepdeprivationrate 50
setgamesetting fhcsleeprestorationrate 60

Aha!

I knew you had a timescale adjuster, but for the life of me... I couldn't figure out what the word I was looking for was.

T_T Curse you, damaged brain!

Timescale! Timescale... timescale... mimerail... pinetrail...

Think I got it now!

Thanks a whole bunch for this, I hope it fixes it. :)

However, could you please take a look at the last line? The game says "not found", and I carefully checked the spelling.

(setgamesetting fhcsleeprestorationrate 60)

Thanks again.

I have an another problem. I've already asked this question on FNVNexus but I think you didn't see it Imp. Anyway my question was: "I'm gladly using it. But there is an issue with dehydration. Whenever I sleep, dehydration increases so quickly. Also HTS Scales with Timescale is selected. And I'm using your recommended multiplier values with timescale 5." Thanks. (:

@Lithos

Woops, sorry about that, its fhcsleeprestorationmod - mod rather than rate.

@JPulowski

Too fast as in incredibly too fast, or too fast as in it should be slower than the waking rate? I've had a number of requests to add multipliers for or otherwise slow down the sleeping hunger and dehydration rates, and may add that in the near future, though generally I've been saving things that deviate from the vanilla behavior for IMCN. If the rates are way too fast, as in you're dying in your sleep after a couple of hours, I'd suspect a mod conflict, since the mod seems to be working fine for quite a few people.

I have used this mod since its release and have no problems what so ever, I also use timescale 5...but...Imp's recommended settings are a bit over the top, IMO
try using the default value for dehydration "1.00" or even "0.50" I think you'll find that it'll work better for ya on timescale of 5.
Of course thats just a matter of taste, just play with the multiplier setting until you find some that suit you.

@shad44

Thanks. Yeah actually I've lowered the multiplier values. And it works finely for now.

@Imp of the Perverse

It increases like this:
For example when i wake up,

257 (Okay, fine.)
352
451 (Hmm... Alright.)
556
667
789
981 (WTF?)

And at the end, I die eventually. :D

@JPulowski

Sorry for the late response, but are you using any other mods that effect timescale or hardcoe rates?

Hmmm. I don't recognize anything that could cause a conflict. Have you tried uninstalling ITA (set your timescale to 30 and save first), saving without it, then reinstalling it? Since I haven't had any other reports about anything like this recently, and there are a ton of people using the mod, I'd suspect something just got jumbled up. Since it's only dehydration it probably isn't a scales with timescale/doesn't scale with timescale issue, and I assume the rates are behaving as they should when you haven't just finished sleeping, so it isn't related to misadjusted multipliers.

I don't know but after I lowered the multipliers it started to working fine. Also may I ask what is the purpose of those multipliers? I mean is that something like this?

Vanilla Needs Base * Imp's Multipliers = Actual Needs Rate

?f it is something like that, then if I use "1.0" for all of the multipliers does that mean I'll play with timescale of 5 according to vanilla needs base?

Yes, that's pretty much it. There's also a button that influences it as well - if it reads "HTS Scales with TimeScale" then you will need to eat less frequently (real time) if you lower your timescale. If it reads "HTS does not scale with timescale" then you'll need to eat just as often, real time, with a timescale of 30 as you would with a timescale of 1. I recommend using the "HTS Scales with TimeScale" option, particularly if you're using a dynamic timescale.
