companion gets stuck in cellar of Brewer's Beer Bootlegging. have to exit the cellar with the them behind you as close as they will get (bottom of stairs seems the closest so far), then re-enter. don't move as they are now standing right on top of you in front of the door. exit again, but they are not with you in the shack, but they will auto-jump to the outside not when you leave the shack (they do not auto jump if you leave them at the bottom of the stairs in the cellar).

Have only had Veronica here, so not sure if others will do it. The bot has long since vanished, not sure when.
