Some minor information to narrow the scope a little (will post DXDIAG and so forth if requested): I'm running Vista x64 with an EVGA GTX 480. All settings high, resolution 1920x1200; ansiotropic filtering and anti-aliasing off.
I was running on the "260.63_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_beta" beta drivers from nvidia and decided to update after various work arounds for this crashing bug didn't work out.
I updated to "260.89_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql" and it seemed to solve the problem, at least; until I discovered when I rebooted, the problem reappeared.
Currently able to play only after I rerun the 260.89 driver installation utility from nvidia. Saves weren't being corrupted as I've seen some people mention and can fully resume using quick, auto and hard saves.
Anyone have a clue what could be going on?
