Best Possible Outcome?

Since I botched some quests my first run getting a feeling for the game, I am redoing a good guy anti-hero type guy and I want to get the best possible outcome; but I have come to a moral dilemma.

I know that helping Mr. House to some degree is a good solution. I am pretty sure I should leave him alive for the whole thing (as I disconnected him the first time) so I want to do whatever he says to the letter. However, I don't think having any one person should wield absolute control of a massive, deadly army of highly advanced killing machines. Not I, and especially not Mr. House. So my plan is to go along with part of Caesar's plan and destroy the securitron factory and simply rely on the assistance of every faction in the Mojave that will help.

I am thinking that along those lines, the NCR will be able to seize control of the area to bring peace and order to pre-war normality like it supposedly is out West, but not in a violent takeover. As the factions work together to fight a greater threat they would come to realize that by working together they are better and so they all join the NCR for the security of numbers. I don't know if that is how deep the writers took the game though. I am at a point of no return, so I want to know for sure if I should upgrade them or not to get the best possible ending(s).

As far as I know,

If you're selecting to ally the NCR they'll force you to take down Mr. House. Mr. Houses' plan is completely contrary to their need for power and vice-versa. Mr. House only wants Kimball alive. Eventually you have to choose House, the NCR, or Ceasar.
