So I'm looking for a way to finish this quest since the King denied my request to stand down to the NCR. I need to kill Pacer in a way that indicates someone other than the NCR. I can return to the Ambassador but I think that would be more of a failure / less optimal way of completing it.

I snuck into Pacers room at night and tried using my silenced .22 pistol but I can't kill him with 1 shot. My other weapons will kill him in a single shot but then the whole Kings gang comes after me and I'd rather not kill any of them.

Suggestions or hints?

Did you ever listen to that kid standing outside on the corner talking about a store that sells everything, even stuff that can't be sold? You may want to check that place out. All kinds of services there. Funny what you can do with notes telling people stuff that isn't true.....

I have not gotten this far, so only can suggest: Mr. Sandman skill or how about a melee or boxer's-tape type of weapon?

I killed that Pacer guy on accident some how. I came through a gate and these A-hole kings started shooting at me and i just killed them without question. Some how i got the pleasure of completely skipping that worthless quest.

Well, I went to Mick and Ralph's and asked about services and the only reply was they only did those if they King approved them. I'm guessing that was about the entrance to the strip but I'm not sure.

I found a container of chlorine that I purchased hoping to get Pacer to ingest it but I can't figure out how or if it's enough to even kill him. I think I might just have to shoot Pacer and run away and try not to die from the gunshots.

Find him outside and shoot him and any Kings with him. That's what i accidently did and it worked.

Look if you dont want to kill him just go back to the ambassador. He will tell you to see 2 different people and give you locations. If you dont want to fight the kings then you need to go to Hsu or what ever at the airport and talk with him about it, then when you go back to talk to the king pick the right wording. *SPOILER BELOW*


After you talk to the king pacer will basically say F you and attack you stand there and do nothing and let the NCR Take down Pacer and the few thugs around, you might wan to save before just in case something goes wrong and you end up loosing freeside fame. I took this path and it worked fine.

If you have some pyscho on you he has his drug stash next to his bed upstairs that you can click on and lace it which gives him a heart attack and doesnt reflect on you at all.

I told the ambassador I didn't really want to kill him. When I went to the store I asked about other services and got a choice to get a forged note about having a drug pickup ready for him at the Silver Rush. I haven't made it back there yet, but I'm guessing it will play out like a drug deal gone bad.
