If you can run Fallout 3 well I'd expect you'd be able to play New Vegas pretty decently. If you were chugging you might want to upgrade, if it was supa smooth no worries brah.

It's going to be pretty much the same exact thing as Fallout 3. If not, they'll be a little bit higher, but nothing that warrants an upgrade.

The game will not work on an Intel integrated video chipset. But they should be about the same as FO3.

I would expect that it will only be a little higher than Fallout 3. If you can run Fallout 3 I really wouldnt worry about running FNV.

If you dont own Fallout 3 then here is a website that will give compare its requirements to your current specs.

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

I wouldnt pay so much attention to the sliding bar 'overall' anolysis but the details below are helpful.

Same Engine, same graphics set so the overall requirements will be the same. Obsidian might have some more scripting and or add some more detailed textures, however since this game needs to run on the same console that Fallout 3 did, I doubt anything has been done to the game to appreciably increase hardware needs.

They did say they optimized it, so it should run better.

That lab is very unreliable, and will sometimes "lie" to the user by telling them they can run the game when they cannot. I would never trust it.

If I had much disposable income, I'd setup dual ATI Radeon HD 5870 in crossfire and run it in 3D mode...

I was playing around in Newegg, trying to put together an "affordable" gaming rig that's also "future resistant" (meaning I can run 3D right of the bat but also setup crossfire on the same mobo if I wanted to) but I'm still running over $1K... =p

3D as in something like Nvidia's 3D gaming kit? As far as I know, ATI doesnt have a 3D kit like that, and if its Nvidia's it would be SLI instead of Crossfire.

True, I don't think ATI has a 3D kit per se, just 3D capability.

I'll have to do a bit more research because I think I misread ATI's "eyfinity" tech to be able to render stereoscopic 3D with glasses, but it looks like that tech used to manage a multitude of displays... :/

Yeah Eyefinity just allows you use up to 3 displays (6 on some of the high end 5XXX cards) on a single card.

Im pretty sure thats why I said this:

Its also not "very unreliable" at all.

Well I know what my system specs are. The 360. I didn't dare try to get Fallout 3 for my laptop just in case it dosn't work. I have no problem running Oblivion even with the graphic enhancing mods on it. But I will not take a chance with the PC even though the graphics look spectacular.

Specs would be nice, in case you wanna upgrade at all... but like others say, if you can run 3, you'll be able to run NV...

I can run oblivion on medium with fcom and better cities at 30-40fps. Will I be able to run it? Also, i'm only asking because I never got fallout 3 on the pc.

If you can run Oblivion with Better Cities at 40 FPS, yes. My computer struggled to get 15 FPS at the Waterfront with Better Cities(at max settings with QTP3 though).

You should be able to run it if youre running those mods. But it would help to know the GPU.

Crossfire/SLI is something of a waste. The only way you'll use all that oomph is if you're running like Crysis at max settings at 2800x2100 or something equally crazy.

thats why i did my research on FO3 to make sure i can play it. i had it on my xbox360 til the whole thing died after a year.. piece of junk. and my card only cost 90 something bucks, ATI Radeon HD 5550 1024 MB. pretty good deal since my comp can now run an array of good games.
