Since the release is about a month away, I decided to make a poll on the gambling games in New Vegas.

I'll probably play Blackjack the most, and I like how Caravan sounds, so I'll wait for some guides before playing it.

i assume you picked caravan in the vote since there was only one vote for it...have you played? is there a flash or something for it yet?

No, I haven't played, it just sounds fun, and it's a new gambling game created just for New Vegas.

I picked Caravan because it's new and it seems really cool. I wish there was some sort of Poker or even Go Fish sort of game in Vegas, but Caravan seems to fill that niche because it's like playing blackjack on steroids against an opponent, as opposed to just the house (which is why I like poker, and other table card games, it's more intimate than getting ripped off by a blackjack dealer with sticky fingers).

I don't really like roulette and slots, especially slots, because it's basically all luck and not much strategy. Sure you can strategize at roulette but you still have to take a blind guess, whereas blackjack actually has some strategy where you're trying to avoid busting while hoping the dealer falls short or busts himself.

So I know that while I'm looking forward to Caravan I'll probably play Blackjack the most because that's what's in the Casinos and I'll want to be breaking those banks if you know what I mean.

And I've heard some complaints from people that don't like the gambling games, they say the gambling should be entirely skill/stat based like Fallout 2. Well my answer then is only play slots! There's your game based on pure number crunching CPU fate deciding goodness and luck of the draw.

All about the roulette. It seems a little strange that you can only bet on one number/color. That doesn't really allow you to play as effectively.

Slots. Each day, I'll go adventuring, sell the stuff I found, and waste it all on slots. Then sleep (hardcoe). Rinse and repeat

Blackjack. Has anyone seen anything about Craps being in New Vegas? It should be. It was in FO2. I can understand if it will be to hard to program.

It seems the 4 games above are all thats in New Vegas unless theyve kept some that they havnt even mentioned. Only 3 Casino games is a little disappointing and I too would have liked Craps to be in it.

I apologize but what exactly is "Caravan"?

My favorite casino games in general are Blackjack and Roulette. Blackjack requires some skill however and the more decks in the shoe the less effective the usual card counting strategies become.

Roulette is almost pure luck, but man does it feel good when you put money down on a single number and it hits.

Too bad there's no Craps game any Poker games like "Hold 'Em" in NV, well, maybe it's a good thing because I don't want to spend all day in a virtual casino, even the badass ones in NV.

Still, Caravan seems like an interesting game. Hopefully there's an appropriate tutorial in the game.
