Ok so it seems that the Lucky 38 is gaurded (locked up too? :shrug: ) So if its just gaurded, if we manage to get to vegas by ourselves (not following main story), would it be possilbe to kill the robots and then just waltz in and kill House?

I do remember in a E3 interview they said that there was only 1 protected NPC. Is that house?

It could be a locked door that you need a key for, for all we know.

I doubt it. Kill the Robot Guards and Mr.House Closes up Lucky 38 like a giant panic room. That would be my guess. Also might have an army of guards inside as well. And alot of guns on that tower.

Or maybe there is no key and you need to find a secret way in only revealed in the main quest. (unless you manage to find it yourself...) Sort of like that irradiated vault in FO3 that you get the geck from. You could find it, not get in and then either progress throught the story to find it or find it youself in Little Lamplight.

Not to mention all the NCR and robots actually on the strip...

So I guess that's the answer. It would be away to guarded to just kill a few guards then walk into 38 and kill Mr.House. At least it should be.

As for getting into the strip without taking the main quest. I am betting there are alot of ways to get in without doing the main quest. We don't even know what the main quest is yet. Getting the package back and dealing with would be more of a personal quest.

So the strip entrance is guarded by securitrons and then inside the strip lucky 38 is guarded too?

It would be stupid not to have it guarded. The wasteland is a dangerous place full of deadly people. People that live in gated communities still lock up their places and have all kinds of security.
