Not sure if this is the right section...

When you open FOMM and launch NVSE, is it supposed to bring up the Fallout New Vegas start up menu, the one that says stuff like:

Play
Data Files
Tech Support
Exit

? Because after I hit play, it says the game has stopped working.

Well, the NVSE loader is supposed to bring up the launcher, so there's no problems there. (Unless you are using the 3GB Enabler, which in that case it should skip the launcher)

As for hitting play and it crashing, well that's just a problem with the craptacular launcher. My only advise is to keep trying until it works. May take it a couple of times.

Alright. Seemed a bit weird to me, considering FOSE was different. I don't even know what the 3GB Enabler is so I'm sure I'm not using it :P

Yeah, they have to use the launcher to ensure compatibility with Steam. It's a hassle, but it's the only way without them having to resort to somewhat illegal means.

As for the 3GB Enabler, it's just a nice little tool that makes Fallout: New Vegas use more than the 2GB of RAM it's usually limited to. It helps to better performance in some ways, and is essential if you plan on using any High-Res textures.

You can find out more about it http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38644.
