Question about Lilly Bowen

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 9:41 pm

We now have a full list of companions for FNV. Including Lilly Bowen, a female Nightkin super mutant. Now, if I remember correctly, super mutants are intersix beings (intersix meaning that they have a reproductive/sixual anatomy that cant be clearly defined), since they all look the same, even though they speak with a male voice. But Lilly is a female...so are all super mutants intersix (Nightkin, Mariposa, Vault 87) or is it just the Vault 87 ones that are intersix?

Much appreciated :) I ask this out of simple curiousity and because it didn't jive with what I know about the lore

Didn't you get balled by that one Mutant in Broken Hills? Then again he might have just been the proto-Fisto...

Mariposa supermutants retained all of their gender specific traits such as briasts, uteri, and pencses. The females' briasts were probably overshadowed by their enlarged pectoral muscles, but they were there.

And the sound of Lily's voice would be left up to Obsidian. All the Mariposa super mutants that had talking heads in Fallout 1 and 2 had unique voices. All of them were male characters that sounded like men. Their voices sounded normal. Marcus sounded like a normal man you would meet on the street. The Lieutenant sounded like an extremely well educated Brit. And Harry sounded like a complete imbecile however they all had "normal" voices for their characters. They didn't scream at you or have any difficulty speaking normally. However since there were no female super mutants in Fallout 1 and 2 with talking heads, and thus no voices, the ultimate decision lies with Obsidian. However I do suspect she will have a normal female voice.

that would probably make the most sense (i've never played the first two fallouts, but plan on picking them up somewhere), so forgive my ignorance for not knowing for sure. :sadvaultboy:

Mmm Miranda...

What was this thread about?

All rear ends aside, I don't think they're intersix as much as they're... asix... I'm not sure which word I'm looking for, but think of biologically asixualness.

Wrong muties. The Mariposa (west coast) mutants retained their gender specific features. The FEV viruses of Mariposa and Vault 87 were 2 different strains, having 2 different effects.

pretty sure asixual means, in the most general sense, a lack of sixual attraction. not really the word youd be looking for :P and miranda does have a nice rear end. anyways.

what Alpha Dog said about the female super mutants makes sense, after actually finding something on the Vault about it. why i didnt look there before eludes me...

Actually asixual means not having a gender and being able to reproduce without the help of a partner, such as the case with single celled organisms.

Don't forget worms, and starfish. And some other invertebrates.

They aren't actually asixual tho. They require a partner to reproduce. They each have both male and female genitalia and I know in the case of worms they simply pair each other parts up, male to female on both worms, so both worms become pregnant so to speak. True asixuality is the complete lack of need for a partner. I'm not sure what the proper term is for worms and such.

Really, I always got the impression that if an organism had both gender organs it was assixual but now that you point out worms needing 2 partners I realized the difference in methods. hmmm.

We need to google this.

Fallout 1, 2 and tactics had Male and female super mutants. All three games invloved supermutants from the Mariposa base. The super mutants that made it as far as Chicago (Tactics) were working on a way to reverse the Sterility inherent from becoming super mutant. The East coast Super Mutants from Vault 87 were a separate FEV experiment involving a different strain of the virus. (The comp records reference the Mariposa virus) The variation of the Virus atrophies the Gender specific traits providing an "Level playing field' for the Virus to work on. (Read somewhere that Fawlks was a female before the Virus got ahold of her. I could be mistaken however.)

The http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Asixual begs to differ. Not that I'm trying to make a big deal out of it lol. Just saying, you're idea of asixual is not correct. As I understand what you said, you were saying being asixual means you either have no desire to have six, or no one else would desire to have six with you. Either way, that's not the definition of asixual. That's either http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/celibacy if its your choice, or ??? if no one else wants to have six with you. I can't even begin to imagine the type of person that no one would sleep with. You'd have to be really screwed up for no one at all to find you sixually attractive.

Fallout 1, 2 and tactics had Male and female super mutants.

Only in Tactics were they mentioned separately. In the original games we could only rely on the description given by the BoS autopsy.

"six and mutants Neil has a question about mutant sixes:

How come no female mutants are ever seen? I have never heard of a female ghoul or supermutant. Are they actually all over the place? Have they just been mutated so badly you can't tell?

There are female ghouls and super mutants, but they look almost exactly like their male counterparts. In fact, Vree can't even determine the six of the super mutant in her autopsy report in F1, although you could argue that might be because the wild dogs bit the super mutant's pecker off." Fallout Bible by Chris Avellone.

In Fallout Tactics we hear the voice of female super mutants. So I hope this time in New Vegas, female super mutants will have a female voice. It was still hard to tell if the Super Mutants in FO Tactics were female or male till they spoke. Also they were working on finding way to have babies.
