[WIP] JaySuS High Sea Caravansery 2

I think a cool idea might be to have a smuggling shop of some sort. You have to maybe go through a little quest chain to help the shop get set up. While going through the quests it slowly adds to the inventory and as your "final reward" for completing the whole chain they would give you access to their "special" inventory which can contain every Weapon Mod Kit so you don't have to go searching for the one you want.

Just a small note on the gate, I think the gate they use on the NCR prison (As in, the gate from the Pitt) would look a lot better. It's more solid than a chainlink fence, just my opinion. The mod is shaping up nicely, I'm really excited to see the finished product.

On that note, I've got an interior ready for a small house mod. It's basically done, I'd just like to add some finishing touches to the mod before I release it. It's a scavenger home that's absolutely filled with junk, even the bed is made up of scavenged materials and I think it's my best interior yet. Once it's released (Just a matter of me getting around to it) you could have a look, if you like it then I'd be happy to "donate" it so to speak to the island.

Hey Jaysus, nice pirate-bay you got there. Nice slideshow as well... how come it reminds me of monkey island? <_<

@kombatwombat
well, thx man
hearing that from an xbox user is definately flattering
and i agree with the others that even tho you prolly wont be able to play it your input is more than welcome, afterall as i see see it someone who is not deep inside the whole thing kinda kept his innocence and doesnt think with all those restrictions in mind and hence often can come up with ideas totally unthinkable to us who adjusted their thinking patterns according to the technical possibilities yet, made that experience during uni, freshman often are much more creative than bitter old "pros"

Cheers. :) If you see it like that, then I'd be happy to help in any way :)

This is looking awesome,
I love the whole shanty-town feel. Kinda like a westernised Arabian market if that makes any sense atall?

How many factions do you have for this island exactly? and what/who are they?

Have you got any major inspirations behind this?

major inspiration: High Sea Caravansery 1 and Black Lagoon anime, however those are just base inspirations... i more or less simply add areas to the town atm, aras id like to visit, have a nice idea for another few locations yet...

as for factions, game mechanic wise there are alot of factions yet, merchants, citizens, pimps, mafia, pirates etc, but thats mostly just for interfaction reactions and ai behavior aswell as easiefied ownership issues
gameplay wise im atm having the mafia who owns the high ground on the island and runs the business, the pirates who raid (and still need a base), the citizens who live there peacefully

westernized arabian market... erm... lol... not sure if i see that ;), i f you mean the word "caravansery", well thats not only arabic, that word was in use all over the silk road

should prolly add some markt stalls i guess ;)

i usually build locations, add some base NPCs, add FX, add AI behavior stuff, add quests, finalize story... somin around those lines, but yeah story is atm the weak point still,
theres room for alot of story yet but i guess i might be busy worldbuilding for another month or so,
hence it would be very nice if i could get some nice and ready to use stories from anyone interested ;)
mind that i dont really need somin like "the evil pirates want to overthrow the world", im looking for stories that are made like a story board, a script for a movie, dialogues, who talks to whom, what happens if that occurs and so on, details plz ;), preferably in the way of a tree/branch graphic with arrows leading to new topics and so on
:) thx

Hey Jaysus, although I loved the first one (the beach was so much better than the wasteland) I'm eager to see what you have in store for us next.

As for interiors, you can use my Freeside Fubar interior for a bar/home or whatever you like...you can find it here...http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38192

You can also use Stonerest if you find a use for it...http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39914

I'm the same person who did the Solace & Refuge mod for Fallout 3 so I can do interiors when I don't procrastinate to no end.

If you need something let me know.
