I've been looking over for the PC patch but can't find it. Is the patch is automatically updated via Steam? I can't find the version# of my copy so I have no idea if it was updated or not.

I went to the Fallout New Vegas download patch page and didn't see anything, Fallout 3 download link only has Fallout 3 patch from 2009, and the Steam news update link mentioning the patch doesn't link to the patch.

Steam will patch it automatically.

Version numbers in order:

1.0.0.240
1.0.0.268
1.1.1.271

Go into the FNV directory and right click the FalloutNV.exe>Properties>Details

The patch was automatically downloaded and installed by steam as long as you are running in online mode. If you haven't restarted steam in days and are not sure if it updated, just restart steam and it will download it for you.

You might not notice you have the both patches because they address none of the technical problems with the game except for saves. Otherwise it just fixes for a few of the broken quests and scripts.

Great thanks....I didn't see any update screen or any other indication that patching was in progress.

It would be nice if the version# appeared on the main menu or option screen as well. But I will look in the FNV folder.
