While the idea of a companion is nice, and so far I like the wheel, the fact is that even on very hard & hardcoe setting, Boone just makes the game too easy.

Long before I see baddies, he has pulled out his rifle and taken them down.

The only time he dies is if he gets absolutely mobbed by Corazon.

He badly needs to be toned down.

Agreed, I instantly went from "I don't want to go anywhere NEAR corazons, scorpions, deathclaws or mutants" to "NO PROBLEM, BRING EM ON!!"

He is overpowered at lower levels. But I notice once you get in the higher teens and twenties, he is not really any better than the others. For example I give cass a sniper rifle and she does just as well.

Give my other followers power armor, and they are all badasses, especially veronica. I even gave raul sword of the wastes or whatever and PA and he's a baddass now.

Dunno haven't tried other followers but at 28 he is stil overpowered with default junk lol. I can't imagine if they made it any easier; I have to tell him to wait most of the time as is just so I can go kill the stuff myself.
