So I wanna kick out the Elder because I don't like him (He put a slave collar on me then SPIED on me! Seriously!)

HOWEVER I don't exactly know how to do this. I recovered the holotapes, nuked the virus, found out about the chain of command and told Head Paladin Hardin about it. Still nothing.

You have to continue through the whole quest, and even at the end of it I don't think a whole lot happens. Possibly another quest after it finishes that off.

Okay. I read the wiki and it said I had to turn in the holotapes to Hardin. Which I can't.

Show the condemning tapes to Hardin again (yeah the option is 'greyed out' if you've used the line before, but only at this point did the (Optional) Hardin part of the quest complete for me) after giving Lorenzo the parts to fix the filtration system but BEFORE telling McNamara that you've finished the task. Because doing that completes the Still in the Dark quest and if you try and show Hardin the tapes after that, it bugs the whole thing and him taking the place as Elder never happens.

Oh okay I was unaware of these holotapes. Apparently then, there is a way to follow it through.

Edit: Okay nevermind I know what they are.

So is it the first three holotapes I need to show or the scout reports?

Edit: I don't even have the optional objective to show Hardin the incriminating tapes.

Can you see it as completed then in the quest log? Like I said, for me the (Optional) part was still incomplete even though I had shown Hardin the mission tapes earlier. That first time was right after finding all three, before I got the step from McNamara to go fetch the scout reports.

You did agree to help Hardin when he asked for it early on, right?

Yes I did and I haven't gotten that objective at all. And I know nothing about any filtration system. I agreed to help, agreed to kick him out, got the tapes, purged the virus, accessed the chain of command thing, told Hardin about it and the second clause and in that order.

Oh, alright then. Just continue what McNamara asks you to, since you still have to fetch some scout reports and the parts for the air filtration system before the quest ends.
