I ended up with the caravan pack, and was wondering if I could find a canteen or some other refillable water container in the game.

The canteen isn't a refillable water container. It's an unlimited auto-drink thing, once every 5 minutes for something like 15 or 25 H20 and health. There's nothing like it in the game.
