I am on my second playthrough. I didn't really take my time the first time; just wanted to blaze through the MQ.

Now I am taking my time, exploring, doing side-quests, etc.

Finished The King's little set of missions and he offered me a favor; I can join the Kings, ask for some money, or get a pass for the Strip.

None of these sound too appealing... I mean, I have like 20,000 caps right now (and from what I can tell, once you pass the initial credit check, even if you drop below 2000 caps, you can still go in unmolested) so I don't need the money or the pass. I don't know if joining the gang gets me any perks... Is there something else I can do for him or someone else to allow me to ask for the King's support in the war against the legion, maybe? Or just anything other than these 3 options?

It proves a non-violent solution to a quest from the NCR ambassador.
