I was just wondering if anyone had heard the song before it became the theme song. Personally it is my favorite song of all time and I was psyched when it was on the intro.

Hate to be the odd guy out, but I prefer Sinatra's version to Ella's. Of course, I've been a fan of "Blue Moon" for years, but I've only ever heard Frank's version. Ella's is nice and beautiful, but it just feels . . . wrong. Like hearing your favorite song done by a cover band. The band can be great, but each change in musical note or inflection of lyrics is like an auditory stumbling block for enjoyment.

I prefer Ella's version by quite a lot. Still, Sinatra is a nice fit for New Vegas I suppose.

People should also check out the guitar solo version by Tommy Emmanuel, he's a really good guitarist.

Well, it is kind of the theme song for New Vegas, like "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" was for FO3, so it's on topic in that sense.

I still like Franks version best due to that great big band sound.

You can't beat Sinatra man, King of Lounge, King of Vegas. The Rat Pack is the only music that feels truly "right" for this game, even if there's tons of other tunes that will fit thematically.

Okay, that's the first time I've heard the Elvis version, and its creepy as hell. If that was playing from a radio in Silent Hill I wouldn't blink. Who's bright idea was it to slow the tempo down even further than the Sinatra version?

I hadn't heard it before the trailer, but it has gotten me hooked on Frank Sinatra. Before I even realized it was a Fallout trailer I said "hey, this is a good song!".

I agree, it's a freakin creepy song. Still not my least favorite Elvis song (just watch any of his cheesy 60's movies and you'll know) I never even liked that song until I heard Franks version about 5 years ago. It actually came out about 7 or 8 years before Sinatra's version, that was his take on it. This might not be true but I believe the original 30's Blue Moon was slow as well (just not insanely creepy).

I knew the song since I was a kid... when I found out their was a song named after my favorite ice cream :icecream: (weird, it actually looks like blue moon)

His version is too free form. I prefer other versions and there are HUNREDS haha
