Okay, that's the first time I've heard the Elvis version, and its creepy as hell. If that was playing from a radio in Silent Hill I wouldn't blink. Who's bright idea was it to slow the tempo down even further than the Sinatra version?
I agree, it's a freakin creepy song. Still not my least favorite Elvis song (just watch any of his cheesy 60's movies and you'll know) I never even liked that song until I heard Franks version about 5 years ago. It actually came out about 7 or 8 years before Sinatra's version, that was his take on it. This might not be true but I believe the original 30's Blue Moon was slow as well (just not insanely creepy).
@looloolooigotsomeapples If you really like Blue Moon I suggest Frank's version of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev3ngy62xMA. Really great cowboy song made standard by cowboys singers like Gene Autry but with a big band twist. Sounds a lot like Blue Moon.
