The House Always Wins Pt. 1 bugged out...

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 12:03 am

So I was in Vault 11 earlier today. I'm a good 40 hours into the game, and I haven't been playing the main story quests.

At one point, I opened my pipboy by accident, and just before I did, I saw some quest notification pop up. I didn't know what it was, but I got 600 exp, and I ignored it.

Later, I decided to look at my quests and I noticed that 'The House Always Wins, I' was disabled, with the "return the platinum chip to Dr. House" component not completed, as I haven't done it yet.

I ignored it, stupidly, thinking it was just a bug, or something.

Anyway, upon returning to the Lucky 38 a good hour and a half later, I see that Victor is dead outside. I walk inside, and the Securitrons are hostile towards me. If I kill them and use the elevator, it's the same situation upstairs.

Does anyone have any suggestions for console commands to fix this, without having to replay 1.5 hours of gameplay? I tried resetting the quest, resurrecting Victor, and setting the quest stage, but nothing seems to work.

Thanks for the help.

Your lucky for most of us Vault 11 was 10+ hours before we did The House Always Wins, you only lose 90mins if you have a save.

Its linked to the robots in Vault 11 sharing the same faction as the bots in the Lucky 38, if you kill them 38 is hostile to you.
Reload before Vault 11 and don't kill the bots, or stay out of there till you finish The House, unless you have to go in there for something.

Thanks for the knowledgeable response...I was worried nobody would be able to explain it. :P
