No cure-all endings!

Ok, F3 was great. The ending wasn't.

SPOILER**

Ok, the radiation is gone. Even if the character survived, the world was on a fast track to recovering.

NO!!

I want to keep playing. Let me give an example of what I think would be a simple, effective ending.

The character helps CL dominate the population. But in the last battle, the Emperor is killed. Being the hero, you are now the emperor. You are given new followers, and control over the population of New Vegas.

I know, maybe too much power, maybe too cliche. But it works.

I have two examples of perfect endings to stories. the end of the Dark Brotherhood story in Oblivion was excellent. Everything about it. All of the guild endings were,

And the shivering iles ending was excellent. That would be an example of ending with all the power.

What do you guys think?

Is the story even going to be playable after the main storyline?

Nope. It's been confirmed for months that the game has a definite ending.
