First I just lost Rex. I told him to wait for me at Lucky 38 and he disapeared. Of course I didn't even realise this until about 5 hours of game play later. Reload... 2 days gone. Then I lose Rex again and was ready to give up on this game. I really should have.
I go back to Ike Turner, uh, Fallout New Vegas, because I like getting abused. I finally read up on this bug and find him in a convoluted way.
Next few days I thought I progressed but then I got some random unprovoked agro and reloaded another old save. Another couple of days lost.
1 day I made some amount of progress. Next day I play for a day and then... oh Victor just isn't talking to me anymore. Can't ride the elevator. Have to kill him to ride it which fails "The House Always Wins". [censored]. Now I'm angry. No work around for this...
Load an old save. Play for a day and do all right.
Another day tonight and once again I play for a day, and of course I do a few different saves but don't realize that with all of these saves this random Victor glitch returns. The whole evening's worth of play is lost.
It's been 2 weeks now and I've had maybe 2 nights out of 10 where I was actually able to keep my progress. Not one glitch and some lack of foresight with saving. Just glitch after glitch after glitch.
I threw my game out the window, screamed a little. Finally went back to get it and all I want to do now is snap the [censored] disc in two. I've played a lot of [censored] games in my day from ET for the Atari to Ninjabread Man for the Wii but nothing gets me pissed off like this game does. There's so much to enjoy from this game and maybe if it didn't have such good stuff in it I'd easily just give it up and never play it again. A lesser game would never get this much forgiveness.
So will I go back to this abusive husband like a good battered wife does? Who knows... I just want to never touch this thing again.
