One thing that annoys me about the xbox 360 version is the barrels on fire and the draw distance, If you got this on xbox 360 you many notice that from a distance you see floating flames and as you get closer you notice that its a barrel on fire could they release a patch to improve the draw distance a bit so it doesn't look stupid with floating flames.

I've never had the fire problem on 360, but the draw distances are ridiculously short, I have to aim my weapon at some places just so they'll appear before I get too close.

When it comes to draw distance most people complain about the lack of textures at long range when they zoom in with a scoped weapon, it's essentially the same argument though.

Don't expect to see any cosmetic changes to this game, they are devoting all their time and effort to fixing bugs and glitches just to make the game work properly. At the same time they are preparing future DLC. There is no time to change how barrels and fire appear in the far distance.

Draw distance on all platforms is terrible as are long range textures. Pretty disappointing considering how the devs talked about the main visual improvements being long range ones. The game looks absolutely terrible when you can see over long distances. The Quarry is a major eyesore.

The worst is walking into Boulder City. Entire buildings appearing directly before your eyes. Kinda jarring.

It's not reasonable to expect this to be "fixed" for FNV pretty much ever. Here's to hoping that the next game in the series addresses this somehow, though. The game is quite pretty, but the whole underlying Oblivion/FO3 infrastructure is really showing its age now.

Why do you think they have the draw distance as it is?

You must understand that there are limitations as to what games engines can produce on Xbox/ps3.

The technology used in these games is most defiantly out dated though.
