I'm trying to help the BoS be rid of a virus, I don't have the science skill so I'm doing it the hard way, which is a bit of a joke!, I timed the action, the player is told they have 1 minute from the first warning, 1 minute I thought, heck no problem, so I head to the first terminal, no virus, second terminal had the virus, as I isolated it I heard Ibsen say "10 seconds remaining!"; huh!?, I thought blimey that 50 seconds went fast so decided to time it, started agan from the beginning and 15 seconds later I hear Ibsen say "10 seconds remaining!"; now I don't know about you devs, but I was always lead to believe 50 seconds is 50 seconds not 15!

So did I miss something?, perhaps science skills increase the time?, any help please.

Don't use your science skill. It will break the entire quest and you can never get access to the terminal.

This is happening to me too. I just gave up and proceeded with the other objectives.

Huh? This isn't true. Maybe you mean to say don't try to use your science skill if you don't have the points.
I tried and failed the dialog option just to see what he would say, and experienced the same issue as him where you only get 10 seconds for some reason.
But then I came back with a higher science skill and a skill mag and was able to pass the check.

Passing the check allows you to partition the virus, so every time you try, as long as you find one of the 3 parts of the virus you're fine. It won't reset.

A lot of us who did the science check are stuck. After partitioning the 3 terminals Scribe Ibsen will still tell you that the virus needs to be caught.

Lol that happened to me. I tryed a dozen times and on one try i got two of them. I was pissed but i tryed again and when i got one it said i was done so i guess i lucked out.

Lol i just did the 1 minute thing, and i was able to get through about 5 or 6 before he said 10 seconds. But i had the same problem with the fast 10 second thing, so basically just found out exactly how far to stand from the terminals and went for it. It is actually easy if you work out a strat before going into it, but it is very possible even without saving after you get the first 2.

You should be able to hit 6-8 terminals in the time frame, it's just a matter of luck if the virus is on those terminals.

That's how I got it in the end, I'm not into mini games as a rule but I was real irritated by the time given, if devs decided on less than a minute then that;s what Ibis's dialogue should have stated, in the end though it's more down to luck than skill if you hit the correct terminals, hardly a strategic challenge.

First time i tried the quest i used my science and it bugged. After that i loaded the Autosave and tried without the science skill. I quicksaved when i found my first terminal and i kept quickloading on each wrong terminal until i knew which were the other 2. Quest was done on first try (well.. after using 10 reloads or so )

i dont get how this part even worked... he said GO and i just ran upto a random comp and ridded it then got off and ran to comp next to it and did samething.. then quest was done lol virus gone
