First hour (the bug experience) xD

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 8:44 am

In my first hour with the game my varmint rifle would float a bit like my arms raised and I got stuck into a rock...

Ok, I′ve been following the forums for a while and it seems that the vaults cause problems and the "fly away with me" quest does too. Could you tell me what should I avoid to do(quests, vaults, etc...)?

I have not had any of those bugs. (unpatched)
The one thing I would say is to, save alot and keep many saves.

I would say avoid Come Fly With Me, Vault 34 and The Strip if you are trying to avoid the DLC glitch which corrupts all your saves. These are just places I've been when I experienced this glitch so who knows if what quest you are on or where you are at the time has anything to do with it. The next update has to be close to a release so I'm hoping it's out before my current character gets corrupt saves.

OK, I′m 10 hours in and the only additional bugs I′ve encountered were a scripting one and a vats bug.

The first was when you go into the goodsprings bar and you find trudy and and the gang member arguing. They didn't argue in my case.

The vats bug occurred today, while I was in vats my character just stopped and I wasn't able to do anything.

To be honest I fear that I may encounter the dlc bug or another serious scripting bug that prevents me to do some quest. :sadvaultboy:

What is irritating me is that the devs don't seem to care about the current situation. Is it too much too ask for more frequent updates on the patch? :unsure2:

I would like to know, AT LEAST, the expected date for the patch. This week or near the dlc? :banghead:

The only thing they can say is it's coming soon, so why say it everyday? I actually prefer them not saying anything anymore because it doesn't get my hopes up. There is no way they can give an expected release date because if they miss it all hell will break loose. Some morning we'll wake up and there will be another official post on the pinned topic stating that the update is out and a list of what was fixed. It will be like Christmas, I just hope it will be before Christmas.

Go to the fridge and pour yourself a nice glass of Coke.
Remove disk from box and place on your desk.
Place glass of coke on disk.
Look, no nasty ring on your nice clean desk.

The box also makes a handy storage device for your nice new £40 coaster.

Thats all its good for.
