You all do not want to be spoiled over a game like this, you really don't and do not think because it shares the same engine as F3 & basic gameplay that it will be anything like Fallout 3 otherwise. Bethesda's Fallout 3 did not compare in anyway to Fallout 1 & 2's experience, Fallout 3 is a fun game but what it lacked just got fullfilled with Fallout New Vegas as every developer & most articles you read explain. Fallout 2 for me back in the day was SO addictively fun because I did not know much of anything about the game . . I had no idea what to expect out of it I bought the game off a pure gamble. I don't even like turn based games and Fallout 1 & 2 are the ONLY turn based games I can think of on the top of my head I like. F: New Vegas is a game that has to appeal to a wider/variety of people then Fallout 1 & 2, but if you enjoyed Fallout 3 & like what you've heard about F: New Vegas so far then I tell this to myself as well but **Stay away from updates, new's & forums about the game** yet here I freakin am ha.

You know some games are different, it doesn't matter if you know everything about the game before it even comes out including the ending. Fallout New Vegas is NOT one of those games, I don't care if the developer's reveal the ending to the game which would not completey suprise me as they revealed all the companion's for everyone's self to be spoiled over lol (still haven't let myself read it). You may not be a Fallout 1 or 2 fan but if you enjoyed Fallout 3 and have kept up to date with F: New Vegas thus far & stop now then the better the experience you will have when you play the game. I say this but I am guilty of checking out updates as well, but only for me it's just to find out if the Tommy Gun made it in or not as that to me would be the coolest thing at the time for me to find out about. Bethesda / Obsidian HAFT to put updates & reveal thing's over time wether spoilers or not because it has to reach out to people to possibly gain interest with them. We / some of us / myself are already very much interested & knowledgable about the game and need no further to keep on spoiling our selves over it.

It's like what T.I. say's basicly "In order for you to understand my train of thought's you haft to put yourself in what I went through with Fallout 2 back when it first came out, if you don't understand that then you don't understand nothin im done talkin"

With all that said if you really want to hear good news about the game: Canard PC Fallout: New Vegas preview, there is a thread about it on here & it's a dang good preview without much spoiler's exactly.

This might be the best thing some of you will read before the game comes out & you may not even know it.

Imagine an auto-mechanic that works on transmissions all day. He keeps clean, and brushes off, but when he goes home he still has deposits of grime, grease and oil here and there, behind the ears, and in the hair.
Mostly just the man, but with the essence of car clinging to the cracks and edges. I expect that this is how it will be with FO:NV. Basically Fallout 3, but with a hint of Fallout 2 on the fringe and in the shadow; Occasionally noticeable outright. :shrug:

It's next to impossible to stay spoiler free in regards to this game while also being an active forum member. It can't be done. You can't have both things at once. You either need to stay away from the forums or be prepared to not be 100% surprised by what New Vegas will be like. My point is, you're giving this advice to people that, by merely being members of this forum, have already seen spoilers at some point, rendering your advice pointless.

I remember when the New Vegas teaser trailer first came out. I told myself I wouldn't look at The Strip until I got the game. Ha! I don't know what the hell I was thinking...

Yes & with that said the game was sold for me after finding out about that fact. Which means the less you know at the point of learning that fact the better the experience you will have.

@Antibody, Yes exactly and i was also talking to myself as well to stay away from the forum. It is just a warning to people possibly thinking F: New Vegas will just be another F3 with more gun's and items that it won't be and that New Vegas is different in the way that the less you know the better experience with the game (especially this game) you will have.

Minor spoilers don't bother me much.

After playing Fallout 3, after I heard of New Vegas, I was instantly sold. I didnt read anything I just preordered and paid off that same night. Nothing can deture me from this game. Its a Fallout game, therefore there will be surprises around EVERY corner.
