Hmm, how many games are there where you can shoot people in the head? Lots.
How many games have companion wheels?
Hmm, ME1&2, DOA and Fallout New Vegas.
It's actually a far more interesting subject than "BOOM! HEADSHOT!". :P

What do you expect them to do? Fallout 3 was a huge money-maker. If it aint' broke don't fix it.

Plus, they have A LOT more things to do then Fallout 3, which is good enough for me.

Too much pre-release info on a game of which gameplay you already know the basics can be a bad thing too. Too much stuff to know beforehand, too little to discover by yourself.

How.

Some of us play the game because of the RPG parts.

not trying to sound mean but could you plan to possably release some footage thats oh i dont know, new?

We got new footage about two days ago. Do you want them to show us the entire game before it's released?

Hey look, "brand spankin new" companion wheel.

http://www.platformnation.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/companionwheel.jpg

Seriously, what do you expect to see? the gameplay is going to be basically the same as Fallout 3. Wanna know what Vegas is like, play Fallout 3 and add about 10.

On second thought it's a bit too long. Oh well.

Anyway

OP nearly all of the videos released have shown somebody getting shot at at least one point. I don't know how you could possibly want more footage of guns and 'sposions. I personally want more videos about the RPG aspects of this fine Action RPG we're thinking about purchasing, and less about the FPS aspects of it.

Enough Bang Bang Shoot-Em-Up has been released or leaked. I just want a video that shows NPCs interacting with the player character so we can get a sample of the writing and the voice acting and hopefully hear what the new super mutant voices sound like. Oh, and, you know, hear Trejo, Kristofferson, Doman, Rene, Dorn and the myriad other wicked cool voice talents they got to do characters. So far all I've heard is Matthew Perry doing Benny, and it was fantastic.

Ok, so heres a little present for you. Go down to GameStop, or wherever, on October 19th, and get a dvd called "Fallout: New Vegas". When you play this dvd, it will let you in on all the voice acting in the game, restiction free.

But keep this on the DL, dont want to get busted for leaking this info.

Same here, I'd love to see some of that new dialogue in action. I'm pretty sure if I see anymore new firearms I'm just going to be spoiling myself, I really want to just sit down with Fallout New Vegas on October 19th and see all the new guns an other things I would have never expected in the game hopefully at least keeping some elements of surprise for myself. (No game can match Fallout's greatness.) :tops:

i actually see footage of someone actually using the companion wheel instead of just showing it and giving a brief summary.

and one where it shows some of the companions in combat and explains there motives and skills.

i know we got an article about it. but i want actual footage of more of the companions. the only one we have seen footage of is boone

I would enjoy a commercial or something with just a tad of new gameplay but really I enjoy the interviews are coming out. Learning a lot of info from them. And thankfully I like what I'm hearing.

Now folks, he wants what he wants but we need to reserve the rude or flaming comments. Educate don't torment. ;)

You all do not want to be spoiled over a game like this, you really don't and do not think because it shares the same engine as F3 & basic gameplay that it will be anything like Fallout 3 otherwise. Bethesda's Fallout 3 did not compare in anyway to Fallout 1 & 2's experience, Fallout 3 is a fun game but what it lacked just got fullfilled with Fallout New Vegas as every developer & most articles you read explain. Fallout 2 for me back in the day was SO addictively fun because I did not know much of anything about the game . . I had no idea what to expect out of it I bought the game off a pure gamble. I don't even like turn based games and Fallout 1 & 2 are the ONLY turn based games I can think of on the top of my head I like.

You know some games are different, it doesn't matter if you know everything about the game before it even comes out including the ending. Fallout New Vegas is NOT one of those games, I don't care if the developer's reveal the ending to the game which would not completey suprise me as they revealed all the companion's for everyone's self to be spoiled over lol. You may not be a Fallout 1 or 2 fan but if you enjoyed Fallout 3 and have kept up to date with F: New Vegas thus far & stop now then the better the experience you will have when you play the game. I say this but I am guilty of checking out updates as well, but only for me it's just to find out if the Tommy Gun made it in or not as that to me would be the coolest thing at the time for me to find out.

It's like what T.I. say's basicly "In order for you to understand my train of thought's you haft to put yourself in what I went through with Fallout 2 back when it first came out, if you don't understand that then you don't understand nothin im done talkin"

With all that said if you really want to hear good news about the game: Canard PC Fallout: New Vegas preview, thats the latest . .

Cheers

As others have said, enough with headshots and gore in gameplay videos. I get enough of that in other games. Really, it would be nice to show just a 5 minute clip of an environment we have heard about, just some exploration, and to hear how the dialog with others works out. I want to hear some voices, not some guy over talking chat scenes. That infuriates me.

To be fair, I'd like more video footage of the 3PV and some underground tunnels.

well the developer diary's use some new gameplay footage but so close to release you don't want to oversaturate the audience, and the reason most of the interviews cover the same topics are the NDA (non disclosure agreement) that limits what their able to ask as well as what the interviewee can say.

there just trying to keep the game under wraps so it's more exciting when we get our hands onit, as opposed to oh i remember seeimg this in that one video and potentially breaking immerssion

I actually don't want to see any more footage or hear any more spoilers, I think we've seen an aweful lot already and tons of peeps have been able to play the game and see quite alot. I think we have well over a dozen trailers now, and were just 27 days from release. I'm going to avoid spoiling any more of it for myself until the game comes out. :)
