Sliding

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:52 am

For a FPS, sliding around that can knock a person to the ground rendering them practically unable to respond is a bit idiotic! And the Grenades are a useless addition to the game, I can hardly tell when one has gone off? And don't get me started on the aim, I was excited about this game, but it shall be getting returned tomorrow morning!!

Well the sliding can become tedious but I haven't experienced it too much, and even when it does happen you still have the window of opportunity to shoot back. As for the grenades, try cooking them before you throw them. I don't get what you mean by the aiming, it seems fine to me I haven't had any issues.

Unable to respond? Seldom do I ever die when Im knocked down, its pretty easy to spray and pray back at them, and if they are close enough to slide at you, then they are close enough for you to spray and secure a kill. Besides, they shouldnt be able to close enough to slide at you in the first place if you were doing it right. I really like this feature.

In terms of grenades, I like the fact that they aren't as OP as like CoD/Halo/KZ nades (Unless buffed). They add a more of a tactical element to 'spamming' nades. (Which is another great feature they have added, nade cooldowns prevent the spam is glorious.) To see if you hit an enemy with one, look out for the hit indicator, the red squarish outline you get when you deal damage, and grenades more often than not, if within hit range, knock the enemies down, so keep an eye out for a knockdown exp pop-up to know you secured a hit. But don't be expected to get many kills with them.

And if you had tried enough weapons you'd find that aiming isn't always that bad. Sure, some weapons have crappy stability or accuracy, but if you make the right weapon choices and customise your weapon to suit and increase the factors that hinder your aim.

But sounds to me like you would like a run 'n' gun shooter with the kills spoon fed to you. I normally wouldn't promote people to return the game, but I think this game isn't for the simple mind.

These? Really? Just these two reasons are what's going to make you return the game? Sliding has never been a problem for me. You can't even slide that far. Slide knock-overs occur so rarely for me I was only reminded they existed because of this post. As for grenades, you are shown a marker clear as day in the middle of your damn screen when one's near you. Also, unless you have it on mute, you should hear a loud boom and you screen should shake when one goes off. Aiming... Meh. You didn't mention anything specific to complain about. I don't have a problem with the aiming. It's better than most FPS's now' a days imo because you actually have to hit the person and not just the air space near them.

I can understand why someone would not like this game and wish to return it. However, none of these appear to be good enough reasons to do so.

1) most of the time I get knocked down I still get the kill

2) if you care about nades that much go play cod or get frag blast and frag damage (i love those two)

3) if you are having trouble keeping control get an AR and get anything that improves stability such as front grip that helped me a lot

IMO,these are barely any reason at all to return the game. You should know good and well when a grenade explodes, and I can only recall two times where someone has knocked me down with a slide. As for the aiming, the only problem I had was that the sensitivity was a bit too high for me,so I just toned that down in the options.
