I made a very simple higher damage mod (changes the fdamageskillmult from 0.5 to 1.0), and it's on Newvegasnexus. When I first uploaded it, I didn't realize I had my caravan pack ticked as a master file, though, so at first players had issues with getting this very simple mod to work. I fixed that this morning and now I am confident in advertising my little mod (my first mod!) to the general gaming community of this forum.

I present, (with far more ceremony than necessary for the most simple of all mods):

This probably throws DT right out the window. Myself, I went the route of globally reducing everyone's health. Same end effect, different path :)

Of course mine ends up making fighting armored opponents without proper equipment to do so quite... difficult.

I'm not sure how exactly this affects fighting armored opponents. I suppose you simply do more damage, and therefore penetrate armor more easily with any weapon. I havent fought anyone in power armor yet, but I would venture to guess that this mod would make improper equipment vs armored opponents perhaps a little more forgiving. Regardless, while you chip away at the health of a guy in heavy armor with 50% more damage than before, he's shooting right back at you, and just as hard, so it might all be a wash in balance either way.
