[RELz] Bullet Time N

v.1.1 - http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35085

Bullet Time's a popular addition. There'll be N different bullet time mods by the time Vegas is done with. So why not skip the other N-1 and go straight to the end?

Bullet Time N gives you a hotkeyable item you can use to trigger Bullet Time, intended as an alternative to VATS. During Bullet Time, NPCs are slowed by one amount- default 75%. The player, however, doesn't have to be slowed by the same- default player slowdown is 50%. Until your action points are all drained, you'll be going 2x faster than your foes. These %ages are user-configurable, so if you don't want a speed bonus over the enemies you can remove it- or you can make yourself even faster.

It includes a couple of Challenges for killing foes in Bullet Time- kill enough, and in fancy enough ways, and it'll be more efficient and effective.

There's also a variety of visual effects, ranging from the bizarre colour-inverted http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/35085-1-1287865373.jpg look to tinted, monochrome or blurry. And more to add...
In an experiment with user contribution, if you've got a visual effect you'd like to see as a bullet time option, make a .esp with it in, post ITT and I'll add it to Bullet Time N.

Any other questions, comments or feedback are welcome.

So..uhh. What'll happen if I use this and Turbo at the same time?

Edit: Seems to make you go really fast, and everyone really slow. Emptied a Hunting Revolver into a Nightkin before Rex even took a bite out of him.

Ah, is that what Turbo does? Not used it yet. Probably errors will occur...

It does kind of say in the description it makes you act 4x faster than others. It's intended to give you the same number of 'free shots' on a full tank of AP that VATS does.

Aye, Turbo puts you into bullet time. Combining the two leads to amusing possibilities. For one, your speed is boosted so much that you should be careful with jumping, lest you kill yourself on landing.

Now if we only had something to make TT's character blow up and die that would be funny

just because he has blown mine up with his mods for not catching something obvious, and enabling the incorrect esp, lol :nuke:

4x? That sounds pretty fast. I'm using the other bullet time mod right now, but all it helps me really do is snipe. I like this idea but theres 2 things keeping me away from it,

A) It looks like you went a lil happy with the effects

B ) It sounds like too much of a boost

Might i suggest to make the mod configurable, or release a few packs? Personally, even 2x faster would be too much. Though i'd definitely enjoy moving about 50% faster then my foes, make it feel like i'm really reacting (and help dodge those death claw leaps).

edit: So i checked out the video... The AP drain is far too slow for how much more powerful this makes you. I'm a big balance guy, and this is too much of an "I win" button...

A more configurable version's in the pipeline, should be out before too long.

E: And it's out. You can alter the speed reduction, and the player's speed bonus. It also adds a Challenge (Timesplitter) for killing people with multiple dismemberments during Bullet Time, and sets things up so I can make an add-on mod that has the VATS perks apply to Bullet Time too.
