Anyone else tried to Verify Game File on STEAM?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:04 pm

When it tries to Verify the Game file on STEAM it says "1 file has failed to verify and will be reaquired" but it doesn't become reaquired lol. Im just trying to do everything I can to deal with the framerate issues Im having, I should NOT be having these problems. I can max out FO3 and it keeps a steady, consistent framerate. Hell I can max out just about anything that comes out nowadays, I even downloaded the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Same problem here. Anyone know what exactly the file is? Maybe I can steal it from my friend who has the game running perfectly :\

The new Nvidia drivers (260.89) will do this for you. Choose Custom Install, then check the box for Clean Install. It will remove the old drivers before installing the new ones. Generally it is a good idea to remove the old drivers to ensure a clean install.

I can't get the game to verify...every time it says 1 file is missing, then it says the same then when I verify again.

I think this is just a red herring and not really the source of anyones issues currently.

I have the MTG card game installed and everytime I do a verify it also says one file is inconsistent and needs to be redownloaded but it loads and runs the game just fine.

There is something else going on here.

My 2 cents.
