I haven't seen this mentioned yet.

I've run into problems when having when transferring faction armor/disguises to ED-E. I get a message to the effect that "this party member cannot wear this faction armor" and then the armor disappears.

Just be careful what you give your non-human sidekicks. I lost a perfectly good suit of Brotherhood power armor this way.
