I'd like to place some items on display in a store, but...

I'm guessing that something heavy is scripted to go down at the Silver Rush at some point in the game (no spoilers, please), as when I've come to add some spankin' new energy weapons (Y2KB Pulse Rifles, Pulse Pistols, etc) to the place via the GECK, well...there's not an awful lot displayed there. All the furnishings, like shelves and tables that you can see by entering the establishment, are listed in the Cell View objects list, it's just that very few of them are displayed in the GECK viewer. Neither are any other building essentials, such as walls, a floor and ceiling.

How the heck do I carefully place these premium display pieces when what I want to place them on are invisible?

If you'd like to take a look for yourself, set "World Space" to "Interiors" and browse to the Editor ID "FreesideSilverRush".

Seems to be a problem with the Geck. Alot of cells are like that.

Actually, it's not a bug at all, and here's PoisonJam7 with the solution:

This is due to RoomBoundaryMarkers, which are hidden by default. These blue boxes control the boundaries of a room which will render everything inside them when the player is inside one. Click on View then go to Show/Hide window and check Portals and Rooms. Now you can see the RoomBoundaryMarkers. But in order to see what is inside of these markers, you need to move them out of the way first. Double click on them and copy down the Z axis location numbers, then change them to something that gets them out of the way. (Try adding 2000 to whatever the number was to begin with) Now press F5 to re-render the scene and you'll be able to see the previously hidden things.

Don't forget to put the Boundary Markers back when you are done!

Hurray! Thanks, Mister Jam(7).
