I just started to use GECK and I want to duplicate multiple items.

I'm having problems that when I select a few items and press Ctrl + D, it multiplys them but I have to move each piece by itself and not the whole group.

Once in a while I am able to grab the few pieces that I duplicated but that happens 1 in 10 tries.

Is there a trick to doing this?

I know that the new items float on top of the other ones and that they are selected right after duplicating them, but I am unable to move them until I click on one and then I can move only that piece and If I select the grouping by dragging my mouse over them then I select both the top and bottom layer.

Please explain how I can duplicate multiple items and then select them all after duplication.

Like floor tiles two or more at the same time or multiple whiskey bottles.

Please help me figure this out.

Ok I figured out that I can use Ctrl+C and then move where I want the pieces and press Ctrl+V but then I have to fiddle how to put them where I want with XYZ.

Is there a better way?

if you hold control while left clicking you can select multiple objects

Also if you duplicate a bunch of items and cannot drag them with the cursor because they are blocked by the original items you can press G or F to raise or lower your selection, you will then be able to drag them with the cursor.

Lifting them up by pressing G is a life saver, now i can move them without getting so frustrated that I want to quit.
