I just want to start by saying I really wish I could come into this with a level head. I wish I could come into this cool, and keep things civil...

BUT I HAVE TRIED MY [censored] LIFE AWAY JUST TO GET THIS PIECE OF [censored] TO WORK. For some reason, my main character is COMPLETELY unable to get within a 10 mile radius of the Abandoned BoS bunker. I have tried with a previously failed character, and there was no problem getting near. Another, and the it worked just the same. The only difference between any of these characters was that my main had the Platinum Chip in his possession. I have deleted and re-downloaded the dlc multiple times, and also cleared my system cache, but was met with no good results. I have tried every combination of downloaded dlc, and cleared/non-cleared system cache, and every time the game freezes. Sometimes, it waits until I decide to pull up my Pip-Boy, other times it freezes just because I've done wrong by it.

Really, my problem is I just want to play this with my main character, that I have put SOO much effort and so much time into, but cannot even get near the area for whatever reason. The only thing I can think of is that I have the Platinum Chip, but I don't know how to get rid of it at this point anyway! I am just before the endgame sequence, and I still have the chip in my possession. Is this what is causing it?

I have met Veronica, and went through her entire side-quest, so that's out.

Honestly, this is the most disappointing/rage inducing thing I've encountered with the Fallout series, because I love these games to death. Please offer any help if you can.
