No "REAL" traditional multiplayer?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:04 am

So, I got tweeted a link to the recent Utah get together that game devs had from Bethesda and the interviewer was talking to Mr. Kim--senior producer.... From what I understand, multiplayer will be a "free-for-all" in vehicles. And there is no Quake style competitive player or team versus team multiplayer...but there IS co-op with 8 maps....LOL Not sounding very good.

The game needs traditional multiplayer--TEAM DEATH MATCH

1. id Studio will make deathmatch available on day 2 at the latest

2. I am looking forward to id innovating. Why play the same game/mode over and over?

ID said that the multiplayer wont be anything special, all i heard was that its gonna be a racing mode or something that involves the vehicles in the game. But who cares about a multiplayer if the campaign will be amazing?

old design and new design are both timeless since they're both just game design. Not every game has to have "traditional" features; I wish to see more games that focus on a complete design that's unique.

I don't see why not, but I'm not buying this game for Multiplayer anyway, Co-op is definitely a plus, but I'm ready for the next in id Software's amazing game roster.
