Casino Gambling Earnings...

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:40 am

I just recently got familiar with gambling in the game and read quite a few topics regarding it. I started with Atomic Wrangler's Blackjack table and now I have over 3000 winnings according to earnings.

Now that I read about the possibility of getting banned from a Casino for winning too much (or accepting the managers gift, whatever that is), I was wondering if there is any way to reduce them earnings except by intentionally losing gambling in them certain Casinos to avoid the possible ban.

Do earnings degrade overtime or is the only solution to get cash elsewhere and then just intentionally lose so you can play again? I know there are multiple Casinos, but eventually stacking earnings for those would lead to a ban eventually?

The casino keeps a tab of your total earnings at that casino (bottom left-hand side of your screen when you're playing) and once you hit the casino limit (for example: 15,000 at the Luxe); they bar you from playing any more games. Whether you win it all at once or in intervals; once you hit the limit, you're banned. This is my experience anyways and it would make sense otherwise you'd have unlimited caps, even though you can pretty much buy whatever you want after cleaning out all the casinos anyways. It only took me about 15 minutes of playing blackjack to get banned due to having a luck of 7.

Yeah that's what I was thinking also.... Was quite easy to keep winning at blackjack having 6 luck. I guess the earning value is needed in order to prevent players easily amass huge amounts of caps. Would be nice if the earning value would gradually degrade pass gametime, even if slowly, and even if being against realism though :)

I think you get banned after winning around 8-9k caps .. you get some free stuff when you win 4k-5k
Play what you want until you make around 8k when you get banned then do some slots and hope for 3 oranges >> this way you can make 40k ish from every casino

I wish we could don a disguise and keep playing; pretty sure they haven't gotten facial recognition technology and software up and running yet :D.

Now this would actually be quite neat. Say you could pay caps at some shady medical person to alter your looks with plastic surgery (is there a barber by the way :o ) and thus reset the earnings with casinos.
But then again how would it effect companions and other npc's you are aknowledged with?

Well I'm sure they won't recognise the individual with the Pip-Boy on his/her arm

I was banned from most casinos in the game and ALL casinos in Vegas/Freeside.

Around 3,000 caps and again around 5,000 caps most places on the Strip will offer you free stuff, around 7,000 or 8,000 most will give you the key to the presidential/executive/luxury/etc suite, while around 10,000 or 12,000 (closer to 15,000 at the Ultra Luxe) most places will ban you from gambling while reminding you that you are still free to eat, drink, watch shows, etc.

I just edited it in the Geck. Vegas is just no fun if you can't gamble

Indeed, I'm not too familiar with fiddling with the geck, but I found out one way to intentionally lower the casino earnings....by using faction currency to buy chips. Then again I suppose faction money is equal to caps so don't really know how to work it out otherwise. Just finding having $ or legion money more or less useless.
