Quest bug... Any fix?

I decided to do the Wild Card quests. They all worked perfectly fine, but then I started Finishing Touches. I decided between putting the Platinum chip into the whatever machine (I forgot what it was/did, as it's been a few days since I did this) and protecting the NCR president, the Platinum chip was the easier task, so I did that first. Well, I remember automatically failing to protect the president when that happened, failing the quest. I don't remember why, but from there I went off, did the DLC, tons of odds and ends quests, got power armor, recruited all of the companions, and massed a wealth of about 10,000 caps. I'm about rolling in Fallout wealth right now. So I decided maybe I would go back and finish up the Wild Card quest by reporting to Yes Man. So I did, but Yes Man didn't have any more dialogue choices for me... That was kind of strange.

Long story short, I gave up and did a few more odds and ends quests, sunk many more hours into New Vegas, but I've now figured out why the Wild Card quest won't finish. For some reason, I've completed all available tasks to do in it. The tasks were to insert the Platinum Chip into the machine, and to report back to Yes Man. According to my Pip-Boy, I've done both, and the quest has no available tasks left to do. The problem is that the quest is still incomplete; I can make it my active quests, though no marker shows up on my map, nor does an objective pop up when I reload my game. The quest is simply sitting there, finished yet unfinished. So, is there any fix to this problem? I know this game is highly glitchy, and I've already encountered countless crashes, weird quest glitches, character glitches (characters spawning with their legs stuck in the ground), and perhaps the most annoying one: My Cowboy Repeater doesn't work in VATS. I'll get the weapon out, fire up VATS, lock on, and engage. The camera just sits there in a not-climactic cinematic state while my character is overwhelmed. He doesn't fire, just stands there until dead. VATS doesn't end until the target is dead, or my character is. I've simply stopped using the weapon.

Anyways, I'll stop rambling: Any way to solve this quest glitch? I've sunken many hours into this save, and I'd like to see it through.
