Ties to counter strike

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 12:59 am

Meanwhile, over on IGN, the man behind Container City, Dave Johnston (who, incidentally, also created the insanely popular de_dust for Counter-Strike), sheds light on designing Container City. Lead Designer Neil Alphonso and Media Director Richard Jolly are also on hand to chime in, and it even includes an interesting factoid about Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory's Goldrush.

I think that's cool that they got the guy who made de_dust from CS. My source is from the brink Facebook page

oh really? DE_DUST is my favorite map ever!!! that's pretty exciting! :D
i thought this thread was gonna be about how some aspects of brink were influenced by counter strike. for example: there's this video out where the guy hip fires a lot (in brink), in CS you basically hip fired all the time.
pretty neat info :D

Most of SD are old school hipfire PC gamers. If you couldn't hipfire well they wouldn't like their game.
